We’re camera-shy. Will you help us pose?
Absolutely! This is one of the first questions people ask me, and even my most camera-shy clients often finish their session saying, “You made that so easy!”
About 99% of my clients aren’t models. I’ve guided over a thousand couples, families, and individuals through their sessions, so you don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose. That’s what I’m here for.
With simple directions and playful prompts, I’ll help shift your attention from the camera to each other. We might play a little game, share a laugh, or take a quiet walk. As you settle into those moments, it becomes easier to forget you’re being photographed. That’s where a little of my photography magic happens.
And if you’re naturally shy, that’s welcome too. You don’t need to become someone louder or more outgoing for your photos. Whether your family loves being silly or you’d rather enjoy a quiet moment with your partner, I’ll follow your energy and capture what feels natural to you.
Helping you feel comfortable and look your best is part of my job. You can leave the guidance to me and enjoy being with the people you love.

How can we prepare for our session?
Every session includes a complimentary 30–40 minute Zoom consultation so we can get to know each other and plan your shoot together.
We’ll talk about your ideas, the styles you’re drawn to, and how you’d like your photos to feel. I’ll also create a personalized mood board for your session, with reference images to help you picture the direction we’re taking.
During our call, I’ll walk you through what to expect, answer your questions, and make sure we share the same vision. You’ll come away with a clearer idea of the session and feel more comfortable, prepared, and excited for our time together.
-
Can you help us choose a location? Can we take photos at home?
I’ll suggest two or three locations based on the style you love, places that are meaningful to you, and what works best for your group’s schedule and travel preferences. I’ll also share reference photos when available to help you picture each setting.I’ll consider the weather, timing, and natural light when making recommendations, so we can choose a place you love and feel comfortable in.
Your home is a lovely option, too! If you’d prefer an in-home session, we’ll chat about the spaces and natural light to find the best time and spots for your photos.

What happens if it rains?
Rain is part of life in Pacific Northwest, so we’ll plan with a little flexibility!
If it’s only drizzling and you’re comfortable with it, we can still enjoy an outdoor session. If you’d prefer to stay dry, we can arrange a backup date in advance.During the winter, we can also explore indoor options, such as your home, a photography studio, or a suitable station where photography is permitted. Studio rentals come with an additional hourly fee.
I’ll keep a close eye on the forecast and confirm our plan about 2–3 hours before your session. I’ll stay as flexible as possible with timing that day and ask that you leave a little room for adjustments, too.
If your heart is set on outdoor photos and the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule. Please note that a $50 rescheduling fee applies if you request a date change within one hour of your scheduled session.

Can we bring our dog?
Photographing your furry family members is one of my favorite parts of a session. They bring so much playful energy and love, and I’m always excited to capture that connection.Including a pup takes a little extra time, coordination, and a few more shots to get everyone looking their best, so there’s an additional fee of $50 per dog.
-
Can we choose a location farther away?
Yes, I’m happy to travel! I’ve had clients request sessions as far away as the Washington State Capitol in Olympia and Mount Rainier, so a longer drive is certainly an option!, we can plan a session somewhere special to you.
Travel within 30 miles of Issaquah is included. For locations farther away, a travel fee applies based on the one-way driving distance from Issaquah:
• Up to 30 miles: Included
• Over 30–60 miles: $50
• Over 60–90 miles: $100
• Over 90–120 miles: $150The fee increases by $50 for each additional 30-mile range and helps cover transportation and travel time. I’ll confirm the total with you before we finalize your booking.
Thank you for understanding. I’m excited to explore a beautiful location with you!

When and how will we receive our photos, and how do we select our favorites for editing?
Within 5 business days of your session, I’ll send you an online gallery of your unretouched photos, along with a selection link and easy instructions. Simply choose your favorites and submit your selection through the link, and I’ll know exactly which images you’d like me to fully edit.
Once you’ve submitted your selection, your edited photos will be ready within 14–21 business days. I’ll deliver them in a beautiful online gallery where you can view, download, and share your finished photographs.
Beautiful things are worth the wait. Editing is where I work my magic, bringing out the beauty in each photo so you can relive your favorite moments for years to come. 🤍
