Who I Am
I’m Gwen, a natural-light photographer based in Seattle. With a background in fine arts and years of visual training, I approach photography as storytelling
guided by an artistic eye, careful intention, and genuine connection.
As far back as I can remember, I was a child who lived in art, sketching for hours, creating in quiet concentration, and finding comfort in the act of making. At ten, I began formal fine arts training, followed by years in art-focused programs through middle school, high school, and university. That foundation shaped my sense of aesthetics and taught me how to turn feeling into form.
Among all artistic mediums, photography became the one I loved most : because it allows art to meet real life.
I believe the most genuine images are born from feeling, captured through a sensitive eye and a quiet attentiveness to what’s unfolding in front of me.
Because I work with natural light, I’m highly attentive to it and precise in how I shape it. I use light not only to flatter, but to tell a story : creating images that feel soft and refined, with a gentle, dreamlike haze that holds emotion.
Years of marketing and face-to-face experience have also taught me how to communicate with empathy
so I can better understand what my clients are hoping for and meet them where they are.
I photograph for honest moments, quiet intimacy, and beauty found in life. Through thoughtful communication and a calm, guided experience, I document your story as it is : so your memories can be held, remembered, and shine forever.
